Mario Kart Wii WFC Problem?

I'm having trouble connecting my Wii to WFC. Nintendo recognizes by router and everything and when I do the test run, it says everything is working fine. However, when I attempt to connect via the Mario Kart main page it gives me the error code 61070. I looked online for possible suggestions and the main ones were to get a more compatible router, but according to Nintendo mine is working fine. Any suggestions?
