Am I liable for legal costs?

I am the co executor of my brother in laws will and somebody has made a claim against the estate. The claimant used a solicitor to trace my (as the executor) details and the solicitor is charging �150. Is the estate liable for this cost as the the claim is below �5000 and therefore under the terms of a "small claim" the claimant cannot charge the cost of legal fees.
