Do you think the Kuhns should file ault charges against the Deputy?

Kuhn... it sounds white. There's no guarantee that they will win the case, but I would file charges. If they were black it would be impossible to get away with that. The police would probably just murder them all before the court date. But if they are white, hell, they can do whatever they like! Except win the case, that goes without saying.
