If you put a slinky on an escaltor, would it keep going?

that was one of the most unusual questions i have ever seen on here. Creative.. i think it would slink for a long time, but murphy's law would kick in.. Eventually something would impede its successful journey to the much desired slinky quest for its infinitely flawless and graceful decline.
