Is it selfish to mark my eggs so my roommates don't use them?

i'm a college kid on a limited budget, and recently decided to be an ovo-vegetarian. i still haven't completely perfected my diet, and eggs are the one thing that i have around regularly for me to eat. they have a tendency to take my food if i leave it out in our fridge "unprotected." is it selfish for me to do that? i feel bad for doing that, but they're "vegetarian" eggs, meaning that they're cage-free, and have been fed a healthy diet before laying the eggs. they haven't said anything to me, but i still worry that it's kinda selfish. oh, and if it helps, my roommates aren't vegetarians
