It usually starts in at 4 or 5 pm. My bowels are ok but my Dr. says it's IBS. Is that just something they say when they don't know? What else can I do? I see a GI Dr. in July. It's a tricky topic. I went to school here in NYC so that's when I took my giant leap, being in school gave me a chance to look around and settle and meet people while at the same time have a purpose to be here rather then just socialize. I know some people who just came to nyc without having work or school here and didn't last very long. My suggestion is think about going to a conservatory here or something that can secure you just to bring you here for a reason and have a main base, rather then just coming here with nothing. First of all, ask if you can lie down and relax yourself. You feel a little pinch kind of pick in your arm or where ever you are getting it, but if your veins are strong it won't hurt while it is in there and won't hurt coming out. Sometimes they but the needle in and but a little thingy over it and a few little things to get a few tubes, but that doesn't hurt. It really doesn't hurt as much as you think. Also, drink some fizzy drinks maybe some coco cola afterwards, doctors recommend it to put more sugar back to your body after taking blood. I don't know how many tubes they will take, but no one is going to force you to look, you can just close your eyes or concentrate on something else. I remember when I was 11 I had blood taken and the nosy ness nearly killed me and I had to look but it is not so terrible. Good luck!

I thought the dialogue wasn't as good as it should have been. You should do some observing of your everyday conversations and see that real life convos sound nothing like this. It's not realistic enough and it's a little cliche a bit, but not a lot from what I read. You should add a little more character to the people around the protagonist. People don't speak grammatically correct (most people don't). You should make it sound more natural, and people just don't say HI Are you going out this weakend? It's a little rushed, you need to slow down, but not to much or it may get boring. Add a little suspense or mystery. Don't just tell everything, leave your reader something to ponder about.

hi my son is 3 im march, he still falls sleep on the sofa and i carry him up once he is sleep, if i put him to bed to fall to sleep on his own then i would have him up for hours screaming the place down. im also on my own with 3 other children and preg with my 4th. so i just think, i have other kids who need to sleep to and its not fair that they hear my toddler screaming for hours so for all our peace of minds and less stress i put him to bed when he has fell to sleep. and if that's what works for us then that's what i will do. i have the choice of 20 mins falling sleep on the sofa or 3 hours of screaming. its what you feel works best for you. i done the same with my other son and when he was 3 and started nursery it all stopped he went into his own room in his own bed, i think they change a bit when they start nursery/school

If you're slowing down for a light and clutch easily into second and you lurch, you may need to be in third instead of second. If it bogs down with little power, upshift. You'll get the feel for what gear you need to be in. As you slow, try to downshift slowly...not all the way into first or second if you still have good momentum. I'm getting a free MRI done because of a study protocol, what does that mean?

I have some kind of congenital heart defect, something I was born with, which the doctors don't know what it's all about. I have been told I have a small hole in my heart, a systolic/diastolic murmur level number 4, and a left to right shunt, where blood is flowing from the right atrium to the aorta, or something like that. Anyways, they're not quite sure what it is, so I have to get an MRI done, and since it's a pre-existing condition, I can't get insurance or anything, but I was told recently that I might possibly be getting the MRI done for free through a study protocol. What exactly does that mean? I think it's where it's like a research study and they're probably going to use my mri results for teaching and learning, but I'm not quite sure? Thanks in advance.

Do Cold Case Endings seem Poorly Thought Out?

Need the title of another book?

So when i was in elementary school I read this book about a kid that had to get injections every week. A lot of the kids at this school had to get these injections. Once day one of the kids at his school disappears and no one knows where he went. He somehow comes into possesion of a metal gauntlet that shoots Bearings out of the fingertips when he extends his fingers. Later on he finds out that he is part of an alien race that has come here to take over the planet. THe injections he was get were to keep him in human form, however these injections dont work when you go through puberty so the kid that went missing actually turned into an alien all at once and almost died. They have to take a test to use the guantlet by shooting cans down, they have to hit 5 cans with one shot (hit one can with each finger tip). They get a new glove that can melt anything (not burn, melt) the glove even metled wood. I'm on my high school's JV football team and when we scrimmage against varsity we wear these white Underarmour shirts. For those that don't know, Underarmour is pretty much skin tight, especially when you start sweating. I suppose the simplest and most honest answer is that no one will ever know. Many atheists will tell you that change is impossible for them, but I've heard stories of atheists turned Christian due to an event they considered to be a miracle. No one can be sure of if or how they'll change as time goes on. As for me, I don't really consider myself completely atheist. I do have atheistic bias, but I can't use a single word to accurately describe everything that I've come to believe. I can use multiple words to get a bit closer (existentialist agnostic atheist with taiost and buddhist philosophies) but even so, my beliefs are far too vast and complicated to name individually and I'm quite sure that throughout my life they will continue to grow and change as I gain more experience and wisdom. Beautiful, non-traditional Celtic-sounding names! My only suggestion is, don't give your baby something that will cause heartache for him/her because people can never pronounce/spell it correctly. I'd stick with something that's not easy to "butcher" and that will be special and unique without being too "out there." Previous depression, antidepressants and nicotine?

Well it doesn't sound like you have a "powerfull addiction" to nicotine if you don't have urges to smoke. I picked up smoking when I had a two year battle with severe depression too. So I know how the nic feels, if anything your just going to get addicted to ciggerettes. Some days I would only get up and go to school so I could smoke before. The more you smoke the more you want to. I'm not going to tell you to stop, but when you try to it's going to be harder.(I still smoke) I hope your depression gets better, it can be a hard road. When the time comes to withdraw from anti depression make to to ween on correctly. I went from a full dose, then a half dose for 3 days and cut it completely. It took me 3 months to fully stop feeling the effects. alcohol will make it worse with frequent use though. Sorry if it's more information if you wanted, but it could help in the future.

i live in private rented accomadation, i have only lived here two weeks but when i moved in there were 101 things which needed fixing and replacing. the landlady has sent one of her friends round today to fix some of the problems, one of which is 3 burnt out plug sockets, he said he was going to replace the covers on them. surely if they are burnt out there is a problem with the electrics? is he ven allowed to change the covers if he is unqualified? i dont no im no expert thats why im asking here lol

My 18 month old daughter woke up this morning and as she was trying to stand up she kept falling down - almost as a drunkard would - she kept trying to stand up but couldnt get her balance and started to cry as if it was very uncomfortable. My cat gets shaved during the summer months, whenever her fur starts to grow in. She's a shorthair, but it keeps her cooler and you don't notice the shedding hair. I live in Edmonton Alberta and I have pretty high marks like 90% average and having so many options I have no idea where to go for University. I am thinking either UBC, UofT, UofA or McGill. U of A is close to home but it is not as prestigious as the others I have listed. Money is not a huge issue of mine but it would definitely cost more to go away and live in residence. Jimmy, I would suggest for you to have a sleep study done, you'll probably need a referal from your doctor's office, it sounds to me that you never fall into the deep sleep which they call (REM) sleep, I had the same problem of never getting totally rested the next day. If the sleep study is not possible there's always drugs to help. I have had to take Lunesta 3mg, before that i tried ambien 12.5mg, the ambien worked better but my insurance would not cover that drug this year. Two negative HPT's, no period?

I am a little uneasy right now...I have endometriosis and have been on NuvaRing with much success and then had an appendectomy in August which also showed an ovarian cyst that ruptured. Since then, my periods have started a little later than usual and has caused me to mess up the timing of putting new rings in. I had a follow up ultrasound (from the surgery) that showed everything was fine. On Dec 8th...after not starting when I should have, we did another ultrasound and everything was fine...I started just a couple of days after the ultrasound and started a new ring but then started spotting/bleeding again about a week into the ring- this was early January. I did take the ring out in thinking I would wait until I have a 'real' period for sure to restart a new ring and start calculations correctly from that point...but I have not had a period yet, it has been two months without a ring in for the suggested 3 weeks- the last ring was in for about 1 or 2 weeks in late Dec/early Jan. I have had some nausea but not much, I have an increase in urination and am tired, but this could just be in my head. I have taken 2 HTP -3days apart- and they both came back negative. Not knowing when I actually need to start makes me wonder if I might be pregnant but testing too early. But if I was pregnant, could I be exhibiting symptoms before a positive HTP? I would appreciate any advice or others stories that are similar to mine!

Peach Fuzz on the sides of the face and chin on a Woman?

I've always had blonde hair on the sides of my face, jawline. However I notice that I have a lot of it, especially while looking at in natural light. I now also am noticing a lot of blonde chin hair, underneath my jaw. They're all blonde but it is very easy to see in natural light and I do not like it at all! They are random sparse, straight small hair that are blonde and sporadic on my jaw and beneath it, and then it's very heavy on the sides of my face...kind of next to my ear then going down to my jar, almost where sideburns would be. I'm 27yrsold, I've never been pregnant, and I would REALLY like to have this hair gone. In-fact, I would love to have a completely hairless face, to allow for a better makeup canvas and because I simply don't understand why I have all this hair on my face! Why do I have this and what is the best method for removal? I'm considering threading, and perhaps laser or electrolysis in the near future if I have to. Another embarring thing, that is completely new to me (facial hair is not because I've always had that) but I have this body hair that sprouts.. it's dark hairs that are sporadic around my every once in awhile! I have to tweezers them. This has only been happening the last year or 2, but it is a nuisance, and kind of embarring, as I don't know why i get them or if any other female deals with this. They're will be 2-4 hairs, dark hairs, around each nipple every month or so. They're easy to remove...but I wish I didn't get them in the first place. Anyone have answers?

Are there people who are sugar intolerant?

Since birth, I haven't been able to eat sweets. If I do eat them, I become nauseated, weak, and hypoglycemic. I also can't eat fruits, lots of vegetables, or sweeteners. Lastnight i was laying in my bed looking at the ceiling falling a sleep and the thoughts in my mind were moving at like 100 mph. jumping from topic to topic in my head some reality and some not reality and all of the sudden i dont know what happend but i could still see my ceiling yet my vision was a little blurred and i can see a shadowy figure but couldnt make out what it was. all i could hear was Evil laughter and tribal music.. i thought i had died or was dying and what i was hearing was Evil spirits. it was beyond scary. the laughter was so sinister i cant even explain it . and it kept getting louder. then eventually i accepted it and then i was able to move my body and was afriad to sleep. i was in a state of shock looking at my celing because i just didnt know what was happening. i am 24 years old and never had a episode like that..

All of the stuff we hear about marijuana is mostly untrue. It does not make you stupid and it does not alter your decision making. And it is becoming legal in states for medical reasons. So why does the government insist that it is bad and why are people brainwashed into thinking the same thing. It has many healing properties and is used for patients with cancer, AIDS, glaucoma, anorexia, it is a stress reliever, and relieves stress. Studies in universities in California and other states including Michigan and Maryland have preformed studies on thousands of users and have concluded that even long term marijuana use does not cause brain damage and if damage is caused it is minimal. Im beginning to think that the government doesnt want us to have marijuana because the Federal Drug Administration makes billions of dollars every year making synthetic unatural drugs that treat the same things that marijuana can treat. What do you think about my Urban Backyard Garden ideas?

I plan on clearing out much of my backyard and redoing it. I had planned on raising chickens however decided on ducks. Next to the duck's house will be a pond full of plants for them to eat. However, the pond will be big enough that we will harvest Tilapia in it. We will be planting duckweed which both ducks and tilapia eat inside the pond. We will be knocking out our old playhouse in the backyard, and planting three honey-crisp apple trees. We will be also planting a peach tree and a cherry tree where out other two trees died. Inside, we are planning on bringing a Meyer's lemon tree which only grows to be a few feet. Also, around the bamboo we plan on planting some bamboo which we will be able to eat. We added a compost to help make our soil much more fertile. We will also be expanding our vegetable garden. We so far have started our seedlings of: onions, leeks, cubers, tomatoes, carrots, and a few others. We also have planted Cilantro, Basil, Rosemary, and one other herb I cannot remember. Anyway, I just wanted to know everyones thoughts on the whole plan. If anybody has suggestions on how to improve it or even anything to add I would be thrilled. Thanks again!

I have a one year old Shih Tzu and a four year old Bichon Frise and YES they are both DOGS, size doesn't matter. My dogs go to the beach, they swim, they play fetch, they LOVE big dogs, if anything they think they are big dogs, they have big dog syndrome. And yes they do wear clothes on occasion, but I have seen big dogs wearing clothes too so, when it is 10 below everybody wears a coat.
